After-Sales Support
Warranty Policy
Read the warranty policy. Learn about warranty coverage, service expectations, and support for your purchases.
At Computer Planet, we are committed to providing genuine products and reliable service. Please read our warranty terms carefully, as they form the basis of our service agreement with you.
1. General Warranty Overview
Coverage: Our warranty covers hardware defects and manufacturing faults as defined by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM).
Non-Transferability: Warranties are non-transferable and are only valid for the original purchaser.
Proof of Purchase: A valid, original Warranty Card is mandatory for all claims. We cannot provide warranty service without it, even if a purchase invoice is presented.
2. Dead on Arrival (DOA) Policy
If your product develops a significant hardware fault within 5 days of the purchase date, you may be eligible for a replacement or refund.
Requirements: The product must be returned in its original packaging with all included accessories, the invoice, and the warranty card.
Inspection: All items will be inspected by our technical team to verify the fault. Missing accessories will result in a deduction from the refund amount.
3. Warranty Exclusions (What Voids the Warranty)
Warranty is immediately voided in the following circumstances:
Physical & Liquid Damage: Any cracks, dents, impacts, or liquid spills/damage.
Unauthorized Interference: If the serial number or factory warranty seal is removed, defaced, or tampered with.
Third-Party Repair: If the product is opened, serviced, or modified by any individual or entity other than Computer Planet or our authorized service partners.
Electrical Issues: Damage caused by improper, unstable, or erratic electrical supply (applies to both laptops and power adapters).
Software & Data: Warranty does not cover operating systems, drivers, third-party software, viruses, malware, or data corruption.
4. Component-Specific Conditions
Screens/Displays: No warranty is provided for minor imperfections such as dead pixels or dots (unless they exceed brand-specific acceptable limits). There is no warranty on screens or cables for touch-enabled laptops or All-in-One (AIO) PCs.
Batteries & Chargers:
Warranty on battery backup performance is limited to 6 months.
Battery warranty is only valid if the battery is completely "dead" (defined as a backup time of less than 10 minutes).
Normal wear and tear (gradual degradation) is not covered.
5. Repair Process & Liability
Data Responsibility: Computer Planet is not responsible for any data loss occurring during diagnosis or repair. It is the customer's sole responsibility to maintain a complete backup of all important data before submitting a device for service.
Repair Timeline: In the event of a hardware failure, please allow 3–5 weeks for parts replacement. This is an estimate; delays due to customs clearance, shipping logistics, or manufacturer stock availability are beyond our control.
Packaging: Customers are responsible for packing their devices securely for warranty service. We are not liable for any further damage caused by improper packaging during transport to our facility.
6. Disclaimer
These policies are subject to change without prior notice. By purchasing from Computer Planet, you acknowledge and agree to these terms. Please refer to the specific warranty card provided with your product for brand-specific details.
